Procentive is also an “all-in-one” EHR designed for behavioral health. The platform hails from Wisconsin circa 1998. The company has gone through several mergers and acquisitions over the years and has also undergone a rebranding effort under the Therapy Brands banner. TenEleven and TheraNest are some of the other EHR brands that operate within this family of brands.
Procentive offers many of the same features as Behave Health, in addition to being ONC certified to process Medicare and Medicaid billing. While Behave Health is designed primarily for addiction treatment organizations, Procentive serves not only substance use recovery, but mental health, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), PT, OT and speech therapy organizations, as well. Behave Health is designed around intuitive usability and a sleek, modern design that looks equally slick on a desktop as it does on a phone screen. Procentive’s user interface appears dated and difficult to use, even it is relatively easy to navigate. As one reviewer put it, Procentive’s design is “...not intuitive and looks designed sloppy. [It’s] not visually appealing (sic).”

With Behave Health, it’s easy for one staff member to send a secure message to another staff member. For some reason, this appears to not be possible with Procentive.
Smart features
Behave Health as an AI assistant built into the EHR itself. There’s no clicking between windows to prompt ChatGPT to create a rough draft of a treatment plan - it’s already there, waiting to be deployed when needed.
Similarly, Behave Health has a speech-to-text function that allows clinicians to dictate their notes to their phone or computer instead of typing, which is generally a faster data entry option for most people.
Procentive has none of these “futuristic” options. Instead, you’re stuck Googling billing questions and manually entering every character by hand.
Focus on addiction treatment
While Procentive serves the entire behavioral health industry - which is a catch-all phrase including everything from autism spectrum disorder treatment to mental health treatment to physical therapy - Behave Health focuses solely on addiction treatment organizations and allied business, like sober living homes.
